Help and support with travel

There are a number of bursaries available that can be used to help pay for travel, meals, equipment or resources for your course.

A registered charity which will transport any kind of community group.

The Council can help with travel to school or college, if you meet the criteria which is set by the Government.

Nexus is a provider of public transport operating in Tyne and Wear.

If you qualify, the NHS may refund your travel costs for health appointments.

There are a number travel passes and schemes available in South Tyneside including the Blue Badge scheme, bus passes and other discount cards.
