International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) Area Action Plan

Overview

The International Advanced Manufacturing Park Area Action Plan (AAP) will form a statutory part of our new Local Plan, which will set out how South Tyneside will develop and grow over the next 15-20 years and form the basis for the assessment of all planning applications and other development proposals.

The International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) is a joint venture between Sunderland City Council and South Tyneside Council in support of the Sunderland and South Tyneside City Deal proposal for a cross-boundary strategic employment site on land to the north of Nissan.

The IAMP is expected to draw in significant private investment into the region and create over 5,200 new jobs.
