The South Tyneside Vision
Overview
The South Tyneside Vision sets out the shared long-term ambitions agreed with our partners for the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of South Tyneside.
During 2010 / 11, we reviewed our priorities to make sure we fully understand our local communities, their needs and the challenges we still face.
We considered the progress we have made and consulted with a wide range of stakeholders including Council Members, officers, our residents and partners to agree a 20-year vision for the future.
Delivering the Vision
We are committed to making South Tyneside an outstanding place to live, invest and bring up families.
Our ambitious vision for our Borough is set out in the South Tyneside Vision.
Long term outcomes
The South Tyneside Partnership collectively agreed 10 long term outcomes under the themes 'People' and 'Place' which we intend to achieve over 20 years.

South Tyneside Council strategy
The South Tyneside Council Strategy sets out our goals for the future and the steps we will continue to take to achieve our vision.
The Strategy outlines the Council's revised 3-year delivery priorities, which are aimed at accelerating progress towards our 20 year strategic outcomes:
- Work with communities to reduce poverty
- Early help for children and families
- Improve health and wellbeing
- Further integrate health and social care
- Improve education and skills
- Inward investment, jobs and growth
- Further regenerate town centres and neighbourhoods
- Housing integration and growth
- Maximise value from assets
