Stroke Association

The Stroke Association provide support for people who have experienced a stroke, their family or carers.

Local support groups take place in South Tyneside, Gateshead and Sunderland.

Speech after stroke club (South Tyneside)

Providing social and communication support to stroke survivors through a number of games and activities, this group runs two different clubs every Thursday. Locations and times are as follows:

10.30am - 2pm:

South Tyneside life after stroke group

The South Tyneside Life After Stroke Group is a voluntary club with support from Stroke Association volunteers for social activities and events and peer support. Carers and family are also welcome to attend. This club meets fortnightly on Wednesdays, 1pm - 3pm.
