Overview

Children's Centres in South Tyneside provide a range of services to children and families.

Membership is free and allows you to access a range of services for you and your child including:

  • breast feeding
  • hygiene
  • safety
  • weaning and nutrition 
  • affordable childcare 
  • family support and home visiting 

Support available

All groups and activities are inclusive.

Staff can provide support to individual families depending on individual needs. 

There is day-care and outreach staff to support within EHCPs and support via Early help is available if appropriate. 

The service also offers Portage support into day care settings.


Who can access the service

Access to all parents / carers and children aged 0 to 5 years. 


How to access the service

Contact any of our children's centres directly. 

To access All Saints Children's Centre (Seahorses Send group), you need to be referred by the Portage team.
