About Boldon Cemetery
Boldon Cemetery opened in 1872, and covers an area of 5 acres.
Unfortunately there is no longer a chapel on site.
Please note that there is no cemetery office on site.
Cars are permitted to drive through the cemetery, although we ask that drivers do not exceed the speed limit of 10 mph.
Whilst we welcome careful and considerate dog owners, dogs must be kept on a lead no longer than 1.5 metres.
It is an offence to not clean up after your dog.
Family history and genealogy research
Copies of Boldon Cemetery's burial records are held in the Local Studies Department of The Word.
The records are free to use.
They're in great demand so it's a good idea to make an appointment to use them.
