This welcome session is for anyone identified as an Induction Tutor or Mentor for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) in a school using South Tyneside Council as their Appropriate Body (AB).

Beginning with an informal buffet reception, you will initially join our ECTs, fresh from their welcome meeting earlier in the afternoon. The session will progress with the opportunity to meet with staff from the AB and other Tutors/Mentors to discuss:

• Roles / responsibilities
• Overview of termly networks for all Mentors
• Deadlines for assessment/progress reviews

Expected Impact on School/Setting:

• Greater knowledge of the expected responsibilities of Mentors/Induction Tutors
