Are you experiencing national curriculum assessments for the first time or, are you a more experienced teacher returning to the year group after a break or teaching it for the first time?

This course will enable participants to:

• become familiar with the Year 6 Writing Curriculum, teaching and learning implications and demands of the Teacher Assessment Frameworks in preparation for statutory assessment
• gain awareness of the administrative procedures in respect of the National Curriculum assessment process
• become familiar with the KS2 moderation process in South Tyneside schools

Expected Impact on School/Setting:

• A clear understanding of Year 6 Writing Assessment  requirements and statutory procedures
