Who is this course for? (Eligibility and personal characteristics)

Must be aged 19+ and have lived in the UK / EU for a minimum of three years.

For full funding, must be aged 19+, receive any state benefit payment (evidence required), unemployed or working less than 16 hours and seeking employment.

What will I study? (Key modules or content)

This course aims to introduce learners to the use of helping skills in everyday life and work.

It is designed for anyone who uses, or would like to use, helping skills at work or in a personal capacity.

This may include learners who wish to progress towards further qualifications, or learners who wish to study this programme in order to complement other programmes (e.g. health and social care, children's care, learning and development, voluntary and community work).

What are the entry requirementsThis course is for anyone aged over 19 years.

Progression and CareersYou could progress to the Level 2 in Care or Level 2 in Children and Young Persons Workforce.
