Who is it suitable for?

The course is for anyone looking to improve their job search and interview skills. Each unit is can be completed as a stand-alone module however working through each module in the suite will build on your knowledge and further develop your skills.

This course is for those aged 19+. 

Complete application forms to a high standard; covering preparation, research, meeting employer requirements and assessing your skills.

This unit has been designed to support you with applying for jobs online. At this time, more employers are utilising the internet as a headhunting tool to fill essential roles and reach a wider range of potential applicants. Taking this into account, it is crucial that as job seeker, you are marketing yourself in the most effective way. You will be asked to reflect on your current online application skills, explore different methods of application and apply them throughout this course.

The aim of this course is:

To widen your online application skills and knowledge to increase your chances of securing work in a chosen sector. 

During this course you will:

• Identify different methods of applying for a job online
• Identify own transferable skills
• Give examples of how own transferable skills have been demonstrated in previous employment
• Identify what information should be included on a CV
• Explain when a cover letter and a speculative letter are used for
• Identify how you should prepare for completing an application form
• Assess own suitability applying for a vacancy
