Who is this course for? (Eligibility and personal characteristics)This course is for anyone aged 19 or over.
What will I study? (Key modules or content)

This programme will introduce you to the aviation industry and to develop your knowledge of airline and aviation operations on the ground. This also includes the importance of health, safety and security procedures in the aviation industry.

You will learn the different terminology used in the aviation industry, such as the phonetic alphabet and use of the 24-hour clock system. We will cover elements of locational geography - where airports are located and the key types of flights (scheduled, charter, etc) and customers handled by the airports.

You will practice customer service and team working skills, as well as aviation communication methods.

A large part of this programme focuses on skills in applying for aviation jobs. You will update your CV and develop your interview skills by participating in a simulated interview.

What are the entry requirements

You should have a basic level of English skills.

*To gain employment, you must be able to pass a DBS check and provide 5 years referencing history, for security purposes
