This course is for anyone aged 19 or over.

What will I study? (Key modules or content)

The Preparation for Work course has been designed to provide candidates with essential skills to deliver excellent practice in a variety of workplaces and situations. The programme provides learners with the skills to gain employment and excel in their workplace.

Candidates will be provided with specialist employability support by their tutor, ensuring that the learner gains as much as possible from their time spent on the Preparation for Work course.

The programme is comprised of carefully selected modules to ensure that the candidates gain the following skills to use in relation to employment:

  • Preparation for Work
  • Health and Safety Procedures at Work
  • Introduction to diversify, prejudice and discrimination
  • Individual rights and responsibilities
  • Working with time
