Who is this course for? (Eligibility and personal characteristics)

Must be aged 19+ and have lived in the UK / EU for a minimum of three years.

For full funding, must be aged 19+, receive any state benefit payment (evidence required), unemployed or working less than 16 hours and seeking employment.

What will I study? (Key modules or content)

This course begins with developing the learner's interest and knowledge of their own and others' wellbeing. It aims to develop the learner's understanding of a variety of well-being topics and the impact they can have and develop the learner's knowledge of a variety of topics relating to personal well-being.

It aims to develop learner's understanding of the importance of:

  • Eating healthily and maintaining hydration
  • Developing learner's understanding of food choices and how to make healthy choices
  • Helping learner's plan a healthy diet for self and others
  • Increasing understanding of eating disorders, the connections between food and feelings and ways to seek help and support.
