55+ is the focus of the group although anyone aged 19 or over can attend.

This course is primarily aimed at learners who have very limited IT user skills, or those who wish to develop skills in an area they lack confidence. Learners should complete prerequisite course Digital Skills: Basics

Learners who complete the course will gain:

• Digital confidence and knowledge
• Basic understanding of using devices including PC, laptop, tablet, phone, basics Basic understanding of eSafety
• Basic Understanding of online banking / shopping
• Basic Understanding of how to use social media safely
• Basic understanding how to stay connected with friends and family using Zoom / facetime
• Basic understanding of how to spot a scam

There are variety of outcomes of the course linked directly and indirectly to job seekers gaining employment.

It will allow learners to upscale their digital skills therefore boosting their ability to independently and efficiently look for jobs. This will be achieved by:

• Being able to use emails
• Confidently navigate websites
• Feel confident using their devices.
• Improved ICT skills

• Use appropriate search sites
