| Who is this course for? (Eligibility and personal characteristics) | Residents in South Tyneside who do not hold a qualification in English up to a Level 2. This includes those in paid employment or in receipt of a welfare benefit. |
| What will I study? (Key modules or content) | Functional Skills Qualifications in English are to provide learners with the essential knowledge, skills and understanding that will allow them to operate confidently, effectively and independently in everyday life and into the workplace. They support learners and help with progression into employment and further study.

| Progression and Careers | Learners can progress onto the next level of English with us. We also offer Functional Skills Maths, ESOL and Level 1 Diploma in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development.
