| Who is this course for? (Eligibility and personal characteristics) | Residents in South Tyneside who do not hold a qualification in Maths up to a Level 2. This includes those in paid employment or in receipt of a welfare benefit. |
| What will I study? (Key modules or content) | Functional Skills Qualifications in mathematics are to provide learners with the essential knowledge, skills and understanding that will enable them to operate confidently, effectively and independently in everyday life and into the workplace. They support learners and help with progression into employment and further study.

| What are the entry requirements | There are no entry requirements. All potential learners will be assessed prior to the course to make sure they access the appropriate level of learning. |

| Progression and Careers | Learners can progress onto the next level of Maths with us. We also offer Functional Skills English, ESOL and Level 1 Diploma in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development.
