Improving Concentration, Learning and Memory

5 hours, 10am until 3pm

Residents in South Tyneside in receipt of a welfare benefit.

The course will teach you about issues around learning theory and memory. You will use learning and memory techniques to improve your organisational skills, prioritise tasks and plan your time effectively. These are skills which are often lost after a period of unemployment.

By attending this course you will be able to:

• identify the key stages in learning
• recognise differences in short and long-term memory function
• gain an awareness of learning styles
• develop techniques that help people to remember

On completion of this course you will have developed skills to help you:

• speak in front of new people
• feel more confident to do other courses
• enjoy being out of the house
• feel more positive about trying new things
• understand your preferred learning style
