Join us as we welcome author's Mari Hannah and Robert Scragg to The Word as they talk everything crime novel related, their careers as authors and take us into the world of their crime novels. There will also be the opportunity to ask them your questions.

About Mari Hannah

Mari is a multi-award-winning author and former probation officer who lives in rural Northumberland with her partner, an ex-murder detective. She has three crime series on the go. Among her numerous awards is a Crime Writers' Association Dagger in the Library which she won in 2017 for her body of work, an incredible honour to receive so early in her career. Her Kate Daniels series is in development for TV.

About Robert Scragg

Robert Scragg is North East born and bred. He is the author of the Porter & Styles series, book one of which was a Read Regional pick for 2019, and most recently, the fourth instalment, End Of The Line, was chosen as book of the week in the Sun.

He won the 2021 Lindisfarne Prize for Crime Fiction, and was shortlisted for the CWA short story dagger. He's a member of the Northern Crime Syndicate group of writers, and you can find out more about them, and his work, by stalking him on social media, or at www.robertscragg.com.
