Overview
South Tyneside Works is a partnership between Skills South Tyneside, Job Centre Plus and National Careers Service to support residents in South Tyneside who are out of education, employment and training.
How South Tyneside Works can help you
South Tyneside Works will provide you with everything need to progress your future, including:
- information, advice, guidance, career assessments and training to help you discover and improve your career prospects and to plan your next steps
- local labour market information, to help you understand what opportunities are available locally and how you can access them
- tailored one-to-one support to help you to focus on returning to work
- expert advice on new recruitment practices, such as assessment centres and video interviews
There will also be dedicated Youth Hub Work Coaches from Job Centre Plus based at South Tyneside Works. They will help to support young people aged 18 to 24 with advice, guidance and help such as:
- help with CVs
- job search skills
- interview techniques
- information on apprenticeships, enterprise and career advice
Skills South Tyneside
Skills South Tyneside offers a range of over 250 courses to help you get into work, change career path and to improve your skills.
National Careers Service
National Careers Service provide information, advice and guidance to help you make decisions on learning, training and work.
