About this publication

Lone Working is not against the law, and it will often be safe to do so. However, specific duties of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations still apply.

Employers should make sure a Risk Assessment should be completed if an employee has to work alone.

This document sets out guidance and procedures for lone working.
