SLR Summary Report
About this publication
This Strategic Land Review (SLR) has been created to provide evidence of South Tyneside's capacity to accommodate additional housing and employment development.
National planning policy requires local authorities to make sure that there is a supply of deliverable housing site to meet housing requirements and that enough land is available to support the needs of businesses, or whether there is a need to review planning designations such as Green Belt boundaries.
The evidence in the SLR will be used to help inform policies in the emerging Local Plan.
