Who is it suitable for?

The course is for anyone looking to improve their job search and interview skills. Each unit is can be completed as a stand-alone module however working through each module in the suite will build on your knowledge and further develop your skills.

This course is for those aged 19+. 

What will I study? (Key modules or content)

Delving into the hidden job market, using social media and networking to maximise your reach, top tips for improving your speculative job search and support with CV development. 

This unit has been designed to support you with your job searching skills by exploring different resources and networking options. You will also look at your own transferable skills and learn how to embed these within your job search activity and documents.

The aim of this course is: To broaden knowledge on effective job search activities and explore options in a chosen sector.

During this course you will:

  • Reflect on own job search activity
  • Explain own transferable skills
  • Give examples of networking links  
  • Produce a table of own networking contact
  • Explain own use of social media for job searching
  • Record own experience of speculative calls
