Simonside Outdoor Adventure: Stand up paddle boarding sessions for schools

Overview
This sport provides the perfect opportunity for team building and fitness for schools to include as part of their curriculum.
Students can expect full instruction on how to use boards and paddles and how to find the perfect balance point to get up and going. Once up and running, they can paddle board in South Shields Harbour, or paddle along one of the rivers in the North East.
Pupils will need to bring:
- a towel
- spare shoes
- swimming costume / shorts
- long sleeved top
- a plastic bag
Price
Prices start from £130 per group and includes:
- all instruction
- public liability insurance
- risk assessment
- equipment
For schools maintained by South Tyneside Council off site activity insurance is also included.
Health and safety
All staff who deliver the activity are South Tyneside Council employees who have:
- appropriate safeguarding training
- a current enhanced CRB check
- a full first aid certificate
- the appropriate qualifications to deliver the activity
All equipment and buildings needed for the activity meets standards required by the industry.
