Overview
These courses are about giving young people the confidence and skills to make a difference in an emergency situation.
These sessions cover:
- casualty handling
- treatment for shock
- bleeding
- CPR
It also explains some of the reasons why we might need these skills. We try to build in scenarios which give a little taste of decision making under pressure when you've got to help.
Pupils should wear comfortable clothing. Skirts or dresses aren't appropriate so normal PE kit or long trousers are generally ok.
The number of sessions you do depends on what accreditation you are working towards. It may be a British Heart Foundation Heartstart Award requiring only one half day session or a RLSS Life Support course which will generally be four half day sessions.

Prices start from £140 per group
Health and safety
The session will require pupils to be lying down, twisting, turning and generally moving around but not any heavy lifting.
Please make sure that they are wearing loose fitting clothing.
