Simonside Outdoor Adventure: Mini medics course for schools

Overview

This course is perfect for Key Stage 2 ages but is also suitable for younger and older age groups.

This 3 hour programme looks at:

recognising when people may need help
how to get help
primary survey
CPR
the recovery position

It also includes use of a defibrillator.

The course can be delivered in three, 1 hour sessions or in a single morning or afternoon lesson.

Pupils do not need to bring anything but as there is a lot of moving around, we recommend wearing a school PE kit with long trousers.

A large classroom or hall space with PowerPoint is available.

Prices start from £160 per group and includes:

instruction by a qualified first aider
equipment
personal workbook and pen
a worksheet with follow up work that you can support with in school

Health and safety

This course requires pupils to be interactive and will include moving around and casualty handling where possible.
