Expeditions

We deliver all aspects of the expedition programme with training, practice and qualifying expedition as part of the package.

We will give you all the skills you need to pass and have fun on the way.

You can use your own kit. If you are struggling to get hold of some kit then we can supply you with the rest.

Prices and what is included

  • Bronze (foot) - £150
  • Silver (foot, canoe, bike) - £225, £249, £249
  • Gold (foot, canoe, bike) - £249, £300, £300

These prices include:

  • 6 training sessions
  • a 2 to 4 day practice expedition
  • a 2 to 4 day qualifying expedition including assessor
  • All equipment, transport, instruction and campsites 

Please note: expeditions that are outside of our 'normal working area' will have additional fuel and campsite costs.

Health and safety

All our staff who deliver our DofE expeditions are qualified and have lots of experience delivering DofE expeditions throughout the UK.

All staff are approved as expedition supervisors by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

We will support schools by providing Evolve support.

DofE canoe 

Your group will be responsible for navigating the river / open water, often camping wild on the bank and safely paddle down through weirs and rapids under the guidance of staff. 

This programme will include:

  • on water training sessions
  • a practice expedition
  • a final qualifying expedition

We will supply all technical equipment, but for training sessions you will need to bring:

  • a towel
  • swimming costume or shorts
  • a long sleeved top
  • shoes that can be secured to your feet (laces/velcro)

Price and what is included

Prices start from £250 and includes:

  • all equipment from canoes to PPE and camping equipment
  • all instruction
  • any campsites fees
  • transport
  • an assessor registered with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Health and safety

All delivery is carried out by British Canoeing coaches and leaders with appropriate skills and experience of the area in which your journey takes place.
