Local Neighbourhoods Scheme (funding for local projects)
About the funding
You can only apply for funding for one project.
You can apply for funding for:
- a community event
- a project including an overnight stay
- maintenance of a building
- a one off event, such as a day trip or party (maximum £500)
- purchasing equipment (maximum £1,000)
Grants are awarded at the discretion of the Community Area Forums (CAFs). You may be awarded less than you apply for.
Your group must contribute towards the total cost of the project. In your application, you must indicate which items will be funded by the Local Neighbourhoods Scheme and which items will be funded by your group. You must provide quotes for any items to be purchased.
When your project is complete, you must provide receipts to show both contributions from the Local Neighbourhoods Scheme and from your group. If you spend less than intended, this must be taken from the Local Neighbourhoods Scheme and not the contribution made by your group.
