South Tyneside Parks Among UK's Best

South Marine Park in South Shields and West Park in Jarrow have retained the Green Flag Award again this year.

West Park in South Shields has also been named among the country's best parks for the first time.

Health Advocate Scoops North East Award

A South Tyneside health advocate has received regional recognition for championing the importance of healthy bodies and minds among her work colleagues.

Nicola Reed won the Advocate of the Year Award in the North East and Cumbria Better Health at Work Awards.
